With the pandemic and the inabililty to travel, we were not sure how to get some of our donations to The Gambia. We occasionally receive donated medical supplies for Bwiam General Hospital. In the past, with various student interns and volunteers traveling to The Gambia during the year, we have been able to send materials over in extra baggage. But with no travel in 2020, we had to think of other options. To our rescue came our friend Mathew Roberts! Matt is a Gambian American who is running a small side business shipping personal items from Gambians in the USA to their relatives back home. We packed a barrel of supplies, and in no time “Uncle Bolsey’s Transportation & Shipping” came by to pick it up for their next shipment. Thanks Matt!
